Junggeum Industry Co., Ltd. concretely realizes human rights management and complies with international human rights standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. We implement human rights management based on respect for labor principles recommended by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and ratified by the state.

This human rights management policy applies to all business sites and employees of Junggeum Industry Co., Ltd., as well as all stakeholders, including suppliers and their employees, customers, and members of the local community who transact with Junggeum Industry Co., Ltd.

01 Prohibition of Child Labor and Forced Labor

In principle, all forms of child labor are prohibited. Furthermore, we do not permit any form of forced labor in the employment of our executives and employees.

02 Prohibition of Discrimination

We strictly prohibit unfair discrimination in hiring, promotion, wages and compensation, and benefits based on a member's gender, race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, country of origin or ethnicity, disability, marital status, pregnancy, religion, political orientation, or union membership. We provide equal employment opportunities to those with the necessary job qualifications and abilities and respect diverse cultural differences.

03 Prohibition of Workplace Harassment, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Violence

All acts of harassment, including workplace sexual harassment and violence, mental and physical coercion, bullying, public shaming, and verbal abuse, are strictly prohibited. In particular, we make active efforts to prevent workplace sexual harassment and violence that utilize positions or relationships of superiority.

04 Guarantee of Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

In accordance with the basic labor rights prescribed by domestic laws and the International Labour Organization (ILO), we recognize the workers' freedom of association and the freedom to join workers' organizations such as labor unions. We do not disadvantage employees for joining or participating in labor union activities.

05 Compliance with Working Conditions

We strictly manage the working hours of our executives and employees so that they do not exceed the maximum working hours prescribed by labor laws. Working hours must not exceed 52 hours per week, and all overtime must be voluntary.

06 Guarantee of Safe Industrial and Working Environment

We faithfully implement our safety and health management policy and provide a safe and pleasant working environment for our executives and employees. To this end, we regularly inspect business facilities and equipment and provide appropriate protective gear and safety and health education to employees working in hazardous environments through maintenance and repair.

07 Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery

To maintain a fair trading order in all transactions, we comply with all domestic and international anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations, including the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the UN Convention Against Corruption, the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), and the Act on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials.

08 Responsible Supply Chain Management

To evaluate and manage whether forced labor and child human rights issues occur in the supply chain, we manage the human rights risks of suppliers, subcontractors, subsidiaries, and other major partners within our sphere of influence. Additionally, we ensure that transactions with partners are conducted fairly through mutual respect and equal relationships and support partners in complying with laws and regulations related to fair trade.

09 Protection of Consumer Human Rights

We perform our work with a customer-centric focus by listening to and respecting the voices of our customers and actively accepting their legitimate demands and reasonable suggestions. We fully consider customer safety and health in our management activities, refrain from providing products and services that threaten customer safety and health, and protect customer-related information.

10 Respect for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We strive to spread a culture that respects diversity, equity, and inclusion. This culture of inclusion enables further protection of the human rights of groups requiring special attention, such as children, the technologically vulnerable (the disabled, the elderly, etc.), and human rights defenders.

11 Protection of Human Rights of Local Residents

In the event of a human rights violation in the local community caused by the company's management activities, we will collect opinions and strive to resolve the human rights issues.

12 Efforts for Environmental Protection

We strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by decreasing the use of fossil fuels and raw materials and improving energy efficiency. We also endeavor to restore natural ecosystems and preserve biodiversity by efficiently utilizing natural resources and by-products.
